If you don’t track your spending, savings and investments you’ll never know how to improve on them. It’s an easy step in improving your finances and really not that hard.

In fact you can get many free apps that help you track all your finances, and some can even do it automatically with minimal input from you.

Of course, if you’re like me and a little untrusting of such apps you may want to track things manually. Entirely up to you! What’s important though is that you track things so that you can set goals, manage progress and reward yourself when you’ve reached milestones.
